Abstract: This data set contains the StoTA.fasta. The sequence is a supplemental to an already existing data set with the title "Enhancing a Sphaerobacter thermophilus ω-transaminase for kinetic resolution of β- and γ-amino acids" (DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5447/ipk/2023/12). StoTA.fasta contains the sequence of the tast gene in fasta format. This gene was derived from Sphaerobacter thermophilus, it codes for an omega transaminase. The sequence is based on the one from the rcsb entry 6K8H and it was codon optimized for E. coli. This sequence was used to create the data, which can be found under the DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5447/ipk/2023/12
